Meet the Staff

The staff at MCF/First Pres is committed to reaching students for Christ and equipping them to serve. They are committed to the inerrancy and authority of God's Word revealed in the Bible. The staff members are Brian Sorgenfrei and David Felker.

Brian is originally from Jackson, MS and graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2003 with a degree in marketing. He then moved to Auburn to work with Reformed University Fellowship for 2 years. Brian is in his last year of seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson. On July 2nd 2005, Brian married Liza Thompson of Dallas, TX whom he met and dated at Ole Miss. Liza is easily Brian's better half and loves a good plate of Sushi On a final note, Brian is a Nintendo loyalist. He has proudly never strayed from the Nintendo line of game systems.









David was born in Tuscaloosa, AL, graduated high school in Fayetteville, AR, and graduated from Mississippi State University. Spending time in these college towns helped feed his unhealthy obsession with SEC sports, particularly football. David is now in his first year at Reformed Theological Seminary. Before moving to Jackson, he worked as the Youth Director at Grace Presbyterian Church in Starkville, MS for the last 3 years. David loves SEC sports, the ipod, t.v. (LOST and 24), ping-pong, and beating Brian at all things Nintendo.
