First Presbyterian Church warmly welcomes many college students from many campuses around the city. College students are welcome to join us for any of the following regularly scheduled events:

College Sunday School: We have recently moved our Sunday School class to the main church building. We now meet on the second floor of the youth house (the third grade wing in the day school) in room Y202.  Come join us this spring as we study the Parables of Jesus. This class is open to students @ Millsaps, Belhaven, Mississippi College, etc. in the Jackson area as well as students who grew up at First Pres. and are home visiting for weekend, holiday, summer, or whatever else. We meet from 9:45-10:45... coffee and donuts each week!

Adopt a College Student: We are beginning this ministry to the students at First Pres. this fall. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you are a family interested in adopting a student or you are a student interested in getting 'adopted' by a family from First Pres. 

College Lunches: Once a month during the school year we host a lunch for college students either at the church or at a family's home. We had a great turnout at our kickoff luncheon in the spring semester at Danny and Holly Story's home. We will update you on plans for a late-February luncheon... keep checking back for more details. 

Sunday Morning Worship: 8:30 and 11:00 am in the Sanctuary. 

Sunday Evening Worship: 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary. 

Wednesday Nights: Dinner is from 5:00-6:15 pm in Miller Hall. Afterwards, there are Discipleship Groups or a Prayer Meeting from 6:30-7:30 pm. 

*FPC college students... please don't hesitate to contact us if there is ANY WAY that we can help you feel at home at First Pres. If you are homesick, need a non-cafeteria meal, or want to find a place to serve - let us know.
