Christmas Break Updates
Well, to state the obvious, we miss the MCF crew. We hope that you guys are safe at home, enjoying your break, not studying, watching football, eating too much, and pondering how thankful you are for the MCF staff. Please send us an email or phone call and catch us up on all you have been up to.
Christmas Break for the MCF staff has been much needed. Sam and I (Felker) finished up final exams at seminary December 11th. On December 13th, we threw a First Pres. College Christmas Party for all of our students at other schools who are home for the break. It is always great to catch up with the First Pres. College crew who are away at other schools - Ole Miss, MSU, Auburn, etc. - and is such a joy to see how the Lord is growing them in the Gospel. Marley and Bech have been back and forth visiting her family in Brookhaven (remember: Brookhaven is one syllable) and staying put in Jackson with Bech's family. I flew to Colorado December 15th to spend some good time with "the girlfriend" in Boulder and to lead devotionals for a junior high ski trip in Breckenridge, as well. Surprise, surprise... I loved the time, and was able to attend a Denver Nuggets (professional basketball) game, and hike the Rockies with the girl, as well as teach her how to ski. Also, I enjoyed the time with Jackson Prep junior high students, and my little brother, Stephen, and good friend, Malcolm Saxon - both of whom were chaperones. Upon arriving back, I caught my breath and then drove to see family in Starkville for Christmas. Sam left town December 23rd, got to visit friends in Memphis, and then made it to Nashville and got to spend Christmas with family for a few days. Currently, I believe he is visiting a girl in Lexington, Kentucky and is anxiously awaiting his Georgia Bulldogs matchup against Texas A & M in the Advocare V100 Independence Bowl! Shreveport, Louisiana is the perfect setting for this collision of mediocrity (my apologies if you are from Shreveport). From here until you guys get back, we'll be planning for the spring, studying, and spending time with First Pres. College students who are still around. That is about it for us.
Again, we are so thankful for you guys. And we are thankful that God, in His goodness, is allowing us to be a part of the redemptive story of Millsaps. This Spring we will be unpacking Jesus' Sermon on the Mount on Tuesday nights at MCF large group. Sam and I are looking forward to see God faithfully working through His Word. May the Lord bless and keep you guys until we see you again.

What is MCF?
If you are new to this site... MCF stands for Millsaps Christian Fellowship and has been a campus ministry at Millsaps for many years. Our large group Bible Study meets on the 2nd floor above the Caf every Tuesday from 8:00-9:00 p.m. For answers to more of your questions about MCF, feel free to browse this site or contact the staff with questions. If you are a Freshman, then one of the best ways you can plug in is by attending Large Group meetings on Tuesday nights. In addition to these opportunities there are various small groups, events, and opportunities to meet 1-on-1 with the staff. Keep checking here for more information and, as always, feel free to contact
David Felker, Sam Taaffe, or Marley Evans with any questions.

If you are an incoming freshman from First Presbyterian Church, please don't hesitate to ask us questions about Reformed University Fellowship at your respective school. We are more than happy to make phone calls to campus ministers or local churches in order to make the transition smoother. We know that we have shamelessly plugged this ministry that we love all summer but we figured we'd give it one more go. Below you will find websites for the RUF where many of you are headed. Please don't hesitate to ask us for help.
