This Week...
Fall Semester has begun...
MCF kicked off this fall on Tuesday, Aug. 31st @ 8 pm. David, Sam, and Lauren have loved seeing everyone - and welcoming new students to campus. Keep checking back here for updates - there is a lot going on - but for now here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Second MCF of the Semester - we will meet on Tuesday, September 6th on the second floor of the student center (above the caf) @ 8 pm for our large group bible study. This is your easiest avenue to drop in and see what MCF is about. If you have never been to one of our meetings this is what you can expect: there is singing, announcements, 'text-trivia', and teaching from Scripture. Our large group lasts about an hour.
- Dodgeball Tournament at First Presbyterian Church - we will meet up with campus ministries from all over Jackson - Belhaven College, Jackson State University, Mississippi College, etc. - on Friday, September 10th across the street at First Presbyterian Church. We will start at 5:30 pm with the Dodgeball Tourney and afterwards have a cookout out back. Last year we had over 150 students attend and we (sadly) lost in the first round of the tourney. Go ahead and start preparing yourselves mentally for this competition.

What is MCF?
If you are new to this site... MCF stands for Millsaps Christian
Fellowship and has been a campus ministry at Millsaps for many years.
Our large group Bible Study meets on the 2nd floor above the Caf every Tuesday from 8:00-9:00 p.m.
For answers to more of your questions about MCF, feel free to browse
this site or contact the staff with questions. If you are a Freshman,
then one of the best ways you can plug in is by attending Large Group
meetings on Tuesday nights. In addition to these opportunities there
are various small groups, events, and opportunities to meet 1-on-1 with
the staff. Keep checking here for more information and, as always, feel
free to contact David Felker or Sam Taaffe with any questions.

MCF Fall Study: Gospel of John
This fall in our large group bible study we will study the Gospel of John. It has been said that the Gospel of John is shallow enough for a child to bathe in but deep enough for an elephant to swim. That simply means that the book of John is for those who are convinced and unconvinced about Jesus and Christianity. See you on Tuesday nights @ 8 pm above the caf - and bring a friend.
